I'm Gaz, owner, creator and generally the 'main man' of FCKTHTSHT. I'm a graphic designer of way too many years and a music lover of even way more years. I am getting on a bit now and I've been into music since about age 11 when I started watching Top of the Pops with my slightly older sister. She was pretty cool and into New Wave/New Romantic stuff from the early 80s; Depeche Mode, Human League, Duran Duran and the like so I had a pretty good start to my musical journey of discovery. My first gig was with my Sis too watching Siouxsie and the Banshees at the Royal Albert Hall age 14 after bunking off school – a total eye opener at that tender age.

From then on in I just devoured music, moving from one genre to another as the years rolled on and musical styles came and went.. from the 80's to 90's Grunge, Hip Hop to Brit Pop, Madchester, House/Dance, Trip Hop, Indie & Alternative in the 2000's right through to modern day electronica. Along with new music over the years you tend to also look back and discover the classic bands and music from previous decades; 50's Rock n Roll, 60's Beatles and the Stones, early-mid 70's glam rock, Bowie of course and into the later 70's punk. I'm an avid 6Music listener and love discovering new bands and going to as many gigs as time and money allow.

So to say I have varied and eclectic musical taste would be a bit of an understatement.

Anyway, back to FCKTHTSHT. Really the idea just kind of came as an outlet for a bit of creativity - my day-to-day design work is fairly business related - company branding and websites etc so I started just messing around for fun and mixing up lyrics from songs I like with cut up grunge style graphics. I quite liked the end result so just carried on.. and probably will do, just keep adding designs and see how it goes.. fingers crossed it finds a market amongst the music lovers out there.

And the name? FCKTHTSHT came from the spoken words at the beginning of Drakes 'Passionfruit', a song my daughter played me once and I fell in love with, its since become 'our song'.
